Tuesday morning: What's in the news ...

1. Argentine Juan Uro has been nominated to fill the vacant Independent Director seat on U.S. Soccer's board of directors. Urso is a partner at Ernst & Young and before that served as executive vice president at the NBA, where he led its League Finance and Global Strategy departments. Uro will need to be approved by U.S. Soccer's National Council at its annual meeting Saturday in Nashville. The other Independent Directors are Lisa Carnoy and Patti Hart.

2. Austin FC  has entered into a multi-year agreement with YETI to become its jersey sponsor. Austin FC, which will begin play in MLS in 2021, is linking up with the Austin-based brand best known for its iconic coolers, drink-ware and outdoor equipment.

3. The Orlando Pride has acquired former Stanford star Ali Riley from Germany's Bayern Munich, using allocation money to acquire and sign Riley on a one-year contract with an option for a second year. The Californian has played in four World Cups for New Zealand.
