Youth Movement: What's in the news ...

1. U.S. U-17 forward Federico Oliva scored his 10th goal of the season for Atletico Madrid in its 1-0 win over Getafe B in the Cadete A division. The Chicago-born Oliva moved to Madrid to join Atletico when he was 8. He was called up to the U.S. U-17s for their games against Spain, England and Denmark at a UEFA Development Tournament that begins Wednesday at England's St. George’s Park in Burton upon Trent.

2. Jose Gallegos, an 18-year-old midfielder, stole the show for San Antonio FC in its 3-2 loss to FC Dallas in preseason action, scoring on a breakaway in the 72nd minute. Less than 24 hours later, Gallegos opened the scoring for San Antonio Central Catholic in a 3-0 win over Kelly Catholic in the TAPPS Division I state quarterfinals. The senior has committed to N.C. State.

3. One of the most impressive players for Atlanta United in preseason has been 18-year-old George Campbell. The Homegrown signing started at left centerback in the 3-2 win at the Birmingham Legion and came on for injured Miles Robinson in the first half of the 0-0 tie with Mexico's Leones Negros.
