Thursday morning: What's in the news ...

1. The Chicago Fire will be back on terrestrial TV in 2020, securing a multi-year partnership with WGN-TV to locally broadcast all Fire home and away MLS matches. In 2020, 24 of the Fire's 34 games are being carried on WGN-TV. The Fire's local partnership with sports streaming service ESPN+ will continue.

2. Ed Nalbandian has joined the NWSL's Sky Blue FC as a new minority owner and vice chairman. The longtime IT services industrty executive (IBM, AT&T, Cognizant and Avaya) joins majority owners Tammy and Phil Murphy, the governor of New Jersey, and owner Steven Temares.

3. The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center will be the Houston Dash jersey partner for the 2020 NWSL season. MD Anderson will continue as the Houston Dynamo's jersey sponsor. Their 2019 collaboration was the first season-long cause-related jersey partnership in MLS history.
