The game was first competitive match since former NWSL coach Laura Harvey took charge of the U-20s.
Even without U-20 star Sophia Smith, who turned pro and joined
the NWSL's Portland Thorns, Harvey fielded an experienced team featuring plenty of international experience.
North Carolina's Brianna Pinto, the 2019 U.S. Soccer Young Female
Player of the Year, and Virginia's Alexa Spaanstra, who both played in the 2018 U-20 Women's World Cup, combined for three goals.
Next Up: The U-20s play host Dominican Republic on Monday.
Feb. 22 in Santo Domingo

Why compete against such minnows?
ditto that bg.
My, what gracious winners we are.
C'mon, Sisyphus, if you're looking for grace on the internet you should know she retired in 2006 when Facebook and Twitter simultaneously launched and destroyed social media.
When I see scores like 6-0, 9-0, 8-0, or 7-2(that's looking up) ,it shows how unbalanced women soccer is competively. They would do better playing 16year old boys, at least it would be more challenging. It's best just to cancel women's Concacef and wait till the region's womens soccer improves it quality of soccer first....
So how else to stage a fair qualification process for finals? No matter how the process is defined, the US will outmatch everyone in the conference with the exception of Canada.
The more important question is whether the lopsided matches benefit the opponents. Unless you give no value to the promotion of the women's sport, the answer is yes.
