Watch: Bizarre ending to Bundesliga clash between Bayern Munich and Hoffenheim

Host Bayern Munich and Hoffenheim players spent the last 10 minutes of their game passing  with each other, juggling and strolling around the field after a fan protest interrupted the game for 20 minutes. Bayern was ahead, 6-0, when referee Christian Dingert  suspended the game in response to fans' unfurling an insulting banners directed at Hoffenheim owner Dietmar Hopp, who has bankrolled Hoffenheim with personal wealth, and setting off flares. Bayern coaches, officials and players appealed to fans to pull down the banners.

"From the point of view of FC Bayern, I am deeply embarrassed about these idiots," said Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. "I have to say this: as of today, the moment has come when the whole Bundesliga, the DFB and the DFL has to join together and act against idiots like these. Soccer's ugly side reared its head here today.  I am also deeply embarrassed on behalf of Dietmar Hopp, who is a man of honor and has ensured that not just soccer but sport across the board in this region has been seen in a positive light. I have also apologized to him.

I would imagine MLS and Garber are paying attention? Their milk toast response last season and their new agreement, which I felt was too ambiguous.
