Brian Pinto bagged a hat trick, Trinity Rodman struck twice and Mia Fishel scored her 11th goal of the tournament in the USA's 6-0 win over the Dominican Republic in the Concacaf Women's U-20 Championship semifinal that earned Coach Laura Harvey's team a spot at the 2020 World Cup and maintained the USA's perfect qualifying record.

After winning six games by a combined score of 40-0, the most intriguing clash of the tournament for the USA comes on when it faces Mexico, a semifinal winner over Haiti on PKs after a 1-1 tie. Two years ago, Mexico beat the USA in the Concacaf U-20 Championship final in a shootout after the game ended 1-1. That U.S. team became the first not to reach the second round of a Women's U-20 World Cup.

On Friday, the USA out-shot host the Dominican Republic, which it had beaten 4-0 in group play, 22-3 while goalkeeper Claudia Dickey made two saves. In addition to her two goals, Rodman assisted on Pinto's first two. Fishel set up Pinto's third and Rodman's second. Jenna Nighswonger got the assist on Rodman's first.

Stanford's Sophia Smith, making her first start of the tournament, left the field injured after 27 minutes.
