Tuesday morning: What's in the news ...

1. MLS joined the NBA, NHL and MLB in limiting access to locker rooms before and after games and practices to players and essential personnel until further notice. The moves, which eliminated media access, come in the wake of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. MLS formed a task force last week to manage the response of the league and its clubs to the outbreak and is working with local governmental agencies, as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Public Health Agency of Canada.

2. Miami FC has granted jersey naming rights to Helbiz, an Italian-American company offering shared electric scooters to urban residents. Helbiz, Miami FC's first-ever jersey sponsor, will work with the USL Championship team on community promotions across South Miami with exclusive promotions and benefits to Miami FC ticket holders.

3. The Chicago Fire signed 16-year-old midfielder Brian Gutierrez, making him the seventh player on its roster whom it originally signed to a Homegrown Player contract. Gutierrez attended the U.S. under-16 national team camp held in October.
