Wednesday morning: What's in the news ...

1. The first two U.S. women's national team games at the SheBelieves Cup averaged 522,000 viewers (USA-Spain game on ESPN) and 387,000 viewers (USA-England game on ESPN2). They rank 1-2 among viewers of any men's or women's national team games on U.S. English-language TV since the Women's World Cup and Gold Cup finals were played on July 7, 2019. The two most watched national teams on any network since then were the USA-Mexico and USA-Uruguay men's friendlies last September. They averaged 2,700,000 and 1,200,000, respectively, on Univision.

2. PSV has extended the contract of U.S. midfielder Richie Ledezma until 2022. Ledezma, who is currently with the USA preparing for Olympic qualifying, joined the Dutch club in January 2019 from the Real Salt Lake academy. He has scored four goals in 25 games this season for Jong PSV,  which plays in the Dutch second-tier Eerste Divisie. His contract was set to expire at the end of the 2020-21 season.

3. The U.S. under-19 women's national team won two of three games at the U-19 La Manga Tournament in Spain. The U-19s beat England, 3-0, and the Netherlands, 2-1, before losing to Sweden, 2-1. The U.S. goals were scored by Aislynn Crowder (Hawaii Rush), Reilyn Turner (SoCal Blues), Isabella Cook (Tennessee), Dilary Heredia-Beltran (Sporting Blue Valley), Diana Ordonez (Virginia) and Quincy McMahon (Real Colorado).
