Division 1: 205 (out of 349) schools, 6,044 players
Division 2: 215 (out of 313) schools, 6,864 players
Division 3: 417 (out of 439) schools, 12,591 players
Women's Soccer (2018):
Division 1: 333 (out of 349) schools, 9,446 players
Division 2: 267 (out of 313) schools, *7,609 players
Division 3: 438 (out of 439) schools, *11,255 players
*Most  of any sport in their division.

    The fact that there are 130 more D1 Women's programs than men is pretty astounding.  Good for the women, but certainly a problem for the men.  Maybe football programs shouldn't have 85 scholarships for a sport that 11 people play at a time.  Just a thought.
