The Concacaf Under-20 Men's Championship, scheduled to take place in Honduras June 20-July 5, was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The USA was slated to play Jamaica, Costa Rica
and Saint Kitts & Nevis in group play.
In the same format used in 2018 when the USA won the tournament played in Bradenton, Florida, the top three teams in the four groups advance to
the round of 16, where they are joined by the four winners of the qualifying stage (Barbados, Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe and Nicaragua).
The four quarterfinal winners will qualify for
the next Under-20 World Cup, scheduled to be played May 20-June 11, 2021, in Indonesia.
No other confederation has held its qualifying tournament.
