U.S. Club Soccer will remove national suspension of activities

U.S. Club Soccer members will be allowed to make return-to-play decisions as of Tuesday in accordance with state and local guidelines for the resumption of play.

In lifting the national suspension of activities, U.S. Club Soccer CEO Kevin Payne emphasized three points in a letter to the organization's membership:

-- Different parts of the country have been affected to a different degree by the impact of COVID-19;
-- The decision is not a blanket permission to return to the fields; and
-- Insurance is only in effect if the activities are consistent with local health and safety requirements and guidelines.

U.S. Club Soccer previously canceled all regional events and its summer championship competitions.
