MLS cancels 2020 All-Star Game, both club competitions with Liga MX

Major League Soccer has canceled the 2020 MLS All-Star Game scheduled to be played between the best of MLS and a team of Liga MX all-stars on July 29 at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles.

MLS also canceled the 2020 Campeones Cup, scheduled to feature the 2020 MLS champion Seattle Sounders against Mexico's Campeón de Campeones winner Aug. 12 at CenturyLink Field, and the 2020 Leagues Cup, which was slated to be expanded to 16 teams from MLS and Liga MX and take place in the summer.

MLS will likely play the 2021 MLS All-Star Game in Los Angeles at the same venue and in the same format as planned for 2020. Both MLS-Liga MX cups will return in 2021.
