-- Frederico Varandas, president of Portuguese giant Sporting and a doctor specializing in sports medicine pressed into service at Lisbon’s military hospital emergency room during the coronavirus pandemic. As part of the protocol for the restart to Portugal's Primeira Liga on June 3, Varandas is required to undergo regular tests for COVID-19 because he is in contact with Sporting players. He was never tested while he worked at the hospital. (New York Times)
