Fuentes underwent surgery performed by Dr.
on Thursday at Sutter Health and is expected to be sidelined 2-3 months. The Earthquakes are the only MLS club who have been unable to start individual workouts.
Fuentes signed a Homegrown Player contract with San Jose in January 2018 as a 15-year-old, becoming the youngest player in club history at the time. He represented the USA at the 2019 Concacaf U-17
Championship where he made appearances.
He's made two MLS appearance for the Earthquakes -- one for one minute in 2018 and one for two minutes in 2019 -- and began the 2020 season on loan
to the USL Championship's Reno 1868.
