Watch: Josh Sargent score as Werder Bremen finds lifeline

The 20-year-old American Josh Sargent  scored his fourth goal of the season in a crucial win for Werder Bremen. A halftime sub, Sargent scored the final goal of a 6-1 win over FC Cologne that, combined with Fortuna Duesseldorf's 3-1 loss to Union Berlin, prevented outright relegation for Bremen. Werder Bremen now needs to win a playoff against the second division's third-place team -- Heidenheim or Hamburg SV -- to remain in the top tier.

Happy for Sargent but lets face it the KOLN defense is ATROCIOUS! Look at Sargent's opponent watching the ball ONLY! like High school ball. This is awful defense and ofcourse being down 4-1 doesn't help the situation either.

I can't believe FC KOLN, the club of Wolfgang Overath, Pierre Litbarski, Tony Schumacher and so many other great players they had....It's so sad to see this happen to this club and to this town of Cologne. They way they played they would have difficulty playing in the NWSL...
