Real Madrid took a two-point lead over Barcelona atop LaLiga with a 1-0 win over Espanyol on a Casemiro  goal wonderfully set up by Karim Benzema. Barcelona had settled for a 2-2 tie with Celta, giving Real Madrid the edge with six games left.
