The USL Championship plans to reopen on July 11 with six games.
The schedule calls for nine games to play Saturday-Monday, and five of the home teams have announced they intend to have
fans in the stands. Two teams stated they would play their first games without fans in attendance. The other two were silent about their intentions in their opening-game releases.
Schedule: USL Championship Real Monarchs vs. San Diego.
The defending champion Monarchs are billing their first game back as the first pro team sporting event played in the United States with fans in
attendance since March 11. Rio Tinto Stadium (with a normal capacity of 20,700 fans) will be opened for up to 5,300 fans (with social distancing) after the organization received government and league
approval for their plan. (Rio Tinto Stadium is the site of the NWSL Challenge Cup semifinals and final -- scheduled to take place later in July without fans.) El Paso vs. Rio Grande Valley FC.
As many as 2,600 Locomotive fans, or about 25 percent capacity, will be allowed in the gates at Southwest University Park. Fans
can also help fill the stands with a stand-up image of themselves. Cutouts can be purchased starting at $35 and net proceeds will benefit Covid-19 relief funds in the El Paso community.
Indy Eleven vs. Saint Louis FC.
Indy Eleven stated it will implement a plan that will allow a limited number of fans to watch next Saturday
and throughout the 2020 season at Lucas Oil Stadium, the 70,000-seat home of the NFL Colts. Louisville City vs. Pittsburgh.
Lynn Family Stadium’s unveiling will be open to fans with capacity allowed up to 50 percent (normal capacity: 15,304). OKC Energy FC
vs. FC Tulsa.
All season-ticket holders will be permitted to attend, and a limited number of individual tickets will go on sale for first Black Gold Derby of the season.
