Five USL Championship teams announced plans to have a limited number of fans in the stands when the season resumes this weekend.

After saying Southwest University Park would be open to about 25 percent capacity, the El Paso Locomotive decided to play without fans in the stands for the Saturday match against
Rio Grande Valley FC and the following Wednesday against New Mexico United due to the ongoing Cobid-19 situation locally and statewide.
Fans can still help fill the stands with a
stand-up image of themselves. Cutouts can be purchased starting at $35 and net proceeds will benefit Covid-19 relief funds in the El Paso community.
“We know we can do this the
right way and keep everybody safe,” El Paso general manager of operations Andrew Forrest
. “But it just doesn’t feel like the right
