Number of NCAA soccer schools canceling fall sports climbs to 125

The number of NCAA schools with men's or women's soccer teams that have canceled fall sports has reached 125.

On Wednesday, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference suspended all sports through the fall semester in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. It intends to shift fall sports to the spring semester if a return to competition can be safely executed.
The Division II conference has 18 schools in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. All play women's soccer. Thirteen have men's programs, including pioneering men's schools West Chester, the 1962 national champion, and East Stroudsburg.
