College soccer: All but five of 44 NCAA Division III conferences have effectively shut down fall sports

The American Rivers Conference, in which eight of the nine members are located in Iowa, announced on Tuesday that it will go ahead with conference competition this fall. The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association and Upper Midwest Athletic Conference with teams in Minnesota and Wisconsin announced earlier in July that they will proceed with predominantly conference schedules. No decision on fall sports has been made by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conferencewith teams in New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Update: The Landmark Conference with eight members in New
Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Washington, D.C., still plans to hold a conference-only schedule. It has not postponed all fall sports.
