Yanks Abroad: Four Americans score on Division 1 Arkema's opening day

Allie Thornton had a goal and an assist and Ashley Clark also scored as Le Havre beat Issy, 4-0, in a battle of promoted teams. The game was Le Havre's first in the top flight of French women's soccer, coming five years after it started its women's program.

Rachel Corboz (Reims) and Sh'nia Gordan (Dijon) both scored as subs.

Denmark. Makenzy Doniak came off the bench to score the winner for Koge in its 1-0 win over Fortuna Hjorring. The goal was the second in five games for the former Virginia star, who is on loan from the Chicago Red Stars.

England. Sam Mewis enjoyed a successful debut in the FA Women's Super League, starting in Manchester City's 2-0 win over Aston Villa. Rose Lavelle remains in isolation following her arrival in England.
