-- England coach Gareth Southgate after midfielder Phil Foden, 20, and forward Mason Greenwood, 18, were removed from the team ahead of Tuesday’s UEFA Nations League match at Denmark because they violated the team’s coronavirus quarantine guidelines following Saturday’s 1-0 win at Iceland, reportedly for inviting women from outside the team’s bubble back to its hotel. Icelandic regulations require visitors get tested upon arrival, quarantine for five days and then get tested again. The England delegation received an exemption because its bubble was designed to prevent contact with anyone except on the field at the match. (Washington Post)
