team in England. Alex Morgan
has joined Tottenham.
The 31-year-old Orlando Pride forward, who recently gave birth to her first child, will be playing in Europe for the second time.
She spent part of the 2016-17 season at French giant Lyon, where her season was marred because of injuries.
Morgan has played just 54 games in five seasons with the Pride, which has
loaned out much of its team to clubs in Europe for the fall. Two players are at Tottenham: Canadian Shelina Zadorsky
and Australian Alanna Kennedy
"We understand and
support Alex heading to England in order to obtain more match and training opportunities," Pride head coach Marc Skinner
said. "Returning to play has been a long time coming for Alex and, as a
player that is looking to not only get back to match fitness but also compete for an Olympic roster spot, the additional months of games and training beyond the NWSL's Oct. 17 end date is right for
