Florida postponed its 2020 fall opener at Missouri on Saturday due to positive COVID-19 tests among three players and widespread quarantines for others who were in their direct contact.
The Gators' opener will be Sept. 26 against Georgia at Dizney Stadium. Attendance -- admission will be free -- will be capped at 368 to allow for proper social distancing.
SEC women's teams are playing a conference-only schedule in the fall -- eight games followed by the SEC Tournament Nov. 13-22 in Orange Beach, Ala. Big 12 shuffle.
Two Big 12 games -- Kansas State vs. Texas Tech and Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State -- were postponed last week because Texas Tech and Oklahoma had positive
COVID-19 cases and limited rosters.
Oklahoma State ended up traveling to Kansas State, where it won 3-0. The Cowgirls got goals from Grace Yochum
and Gabriella Coleman
the first 124 seconds. Non-conference.
Two other games were canceled: Chattanooga vs. Georgia State and Missouri State
vs. Little Rock.
The Chattanooga match against Georgia State would have been the lone match for the Mocs. Missouri State's game was canceled because Little Rock didn't have enough active
players to make the trip. Missouri State is slated to play Central Arkansas twice in October.
Georgia State and Little Rock play in the Sun Belt, which has divided the conference into two
divisions for regional play.
