COVID-19: No positive cases for first time in USL Championship weekly reporting

The USL Championship, which was forced to postpone many matches in the first weeks after its July restart because of COVID-19-related issues, reported for the first time that that no individuals tested positive for COVID-19 during its most recent reporting period.

It confirmed that 1,312 tests were administered to players and staff from the 35 Championship clubs Aug. 31-Sept. 7 with zero individuals testing positive. Of 608 tests administered to players and club staff from the 11 League One clubs in the same period, one individual tested positive.

Both the LA Galaxy II and Philadelphia Union II had to have multiple matches rescheduled after COVID-19 outbreaks within their team groups.
