College: Clemson captures 15th ACC men's title

Clemson won the ACC men's title for the 15th time and the its fourth tournament championship when it beat Pitt, 2-1, in the final at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina.

Clemson got goals from Mohamed Seye and James Brighton in a battle of the top two ranked teams in the country. (Only the ACC and Sun Belt played men's seasons in the fall.)

Clemson’s Kimarni Smith was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, tying the tournament record with four goals in three games. The Englishman's hat trick in the quarterfinals against Virginia Tech was the first three-goal game in an ACC Tournament match was in 1997.

Pitt, which was playing in its first ACC final, suffered its first loss of the season.
