SA 30 Years Ago: U.S. women begin their journey to world power

Captain April Heinrichs  graced the cover ahead of the U.S. women's national team's first official international tournament -- Concacaf qualifying in Haiti for the inaugural Women's World Cup, which took place in 1991 in China.  

The USA ended up storming to the Concacaf title and, of course, winning the World Cup.
