Santos beat Boca Juniors, 3-0, after a scoreless first leg, to set up the first all-Brazilian Copa Libertadores final since 2006 and 2005 -- thanks to River Plate coming up short in the other semifinal against Palmeiras. The behind-closed-doors final takes place Jan. 30 at the Maracana. The only other time two clubs from the same nation clashed in the final came with River Plate's win over Boca Juniors.
River Plate's 2-0 win wasn't enough to make up for its 3-0 first-leg loss to Palmeiras. The high drama included VAR nullifying a River Plate goal and ruling against the Argentine club on twi penalty kick possibilities.
