MLS Moves: LA Galaxy signs goalkeeper Jonathan Bond

The LA Galaxy signed goalkeeper Jonathan Bond from the English Premier League's West Bromwich.

Bond, 27, never played a league game for the West Brom first team in three seasons. The highest level he played at was the League Championship, where he made 36 appearances with Watford and Reading, beginning in 2012. He is a former England U-21 but holds a U.S. passport.
“Jonathan is a quality goalkeeper with experience playing at a high level,” said LA Galaxy GM Dennis te Kloese. “He is a talented player and we believe he can make an impact with our team as we strengthen our goalkeeper position.”

The Galaxy did not re-sign the two goalkeepers who played in 2020: David Bingham and Jonathan Klinsmann.
