The central defender was one of the most decorated players in the NWSL, having won the 2016 NWSL championship with the Western New York Flash in her second season as a pro and two NWSL championships (2018-19) and three NWSL Shield titles (2017-19) with the North Carolina Courage, which moved from Western New York after the 2016 season. She was the 2017 NWSL Defender of the Year and was selected to the NWSL Best XI three times (2017, 2018, 2019).
Dahlkemper started all seven games for the champion USA at the 2019 Women's World Cup, where she played the most minutes of any field player (622 of a possible 630 minutes).
Dahlkemper and Mewis were teammates at UCLA and also played together at the Flash and Courage. Mewis and Lavelle moved to Manchester City in 2020. Tobin Heath
