Women in Europe: Press returns, Heath injured

Christen Press played her first Women's Super League game in more than two months when she started for Manchester United in its 2-1 loss to Chelsea on Sunday.

Press suffered a non-COVID illness that sidelined her for the last part of the 2020 campaign. She skipped the current U.S. women's national team camp to work on her fitness.

Tobin Heath sat out the top-of-the-table clash with an undisclosed injury. The game was the first she missed since joining United from the Portland Thorns in the early fall.

Fran Kirby's goal in the 65th minute gave Chelsea the win, which moved it into the lead on goal difference over United.

Paris St. Germain continues to lead Division 1 Arkema after its 1-0 win over Bordeaux on German Sara Daebritz's goal late in the first half.

The win was PSG's 10th in a row and kept it one point ahead of Lyon, which has won the last 14 French league titles.
