MLS Moves: Red Bulls send Tim Parker to Houston, acquire Andres Reyes

Tim Parker, part of the New York Red Bulls defense that won the 2018 Supporters' Shield, was traded to the Houston Dynamo as part of a shuffle of MLS central defenders.

Parker played 155 games in six MLS seasons with Vancouver and the Red Bulls and earned two U.S. caps in 2018. The Red Bulls sent midfielder Felipe and $500,000 in allocation money to acquire Parker from the Whitecaps in 2018.

The Dynamo had sent central defender Kiki Struna to CF Montreal for forward Maxi Urruti. The Red Bulls turned around and acquired 21-year-old defender Andres Reyes from Colombia's Atletico Nacional. He spent 2020 on loan to Inter Miami, making 13 starts during the 23-match MLS regular-season campaign.
