The bad news for Adams, whose goal put RB Leipzig ahead 1-0 in the 15th minute: second-place RB Leipzig lost, 3-2, to 17th-place Mainz and will fall seven points behind leader Bayern Munich if it beats last-place (18th place) Schalke on Sunday.
