C.J. Brown, who spent his entire MLS career (13 seasons) with the Chicago Fire, was named head coach and technical director of Chicago’s new team in NISA.
Brown was part of Fire teams that won six titles (MLS Cup in 1998, Supporters' Shield in 2003 and Open Cup in 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2006). He will be reunited with the Fire's original general manager,
Peter Wilt, the president and CEO of the NISA team that will play at SeatGeek Stadium, the Fire's former home in Bridgeview.
Brown, 45, has been an MLS assistant coach at Real Salt Lake, Chicago, New York City FC, Orlando City and the New York Red Bulls.
The owners of this new Chicago Pro team ar probably looking for a tax write-off.
