Opening Day: All but four Division I college games go off as scheduled

More than six months after its scheduled start, the college season began on Wednesday with 15 of 19 men's and women's NCAA Division I games going off as scheduled.

Three games were canceled or postponed due to COVID-related issues, while the Purdue Fort Wayne-Detroit Mercy women's game was canceled due to the forecast of bad weather.

Bradley moved indoors, playing its men's opener against Eastern Illinois at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex Slugger Dome, an indoor facility for baseball and softball.
