Yanks Abroad: Heavy U.S. presence in UEFA Women's Champions League final 16

Sixteen Americans, including five current national team players, are on the rosters of the 16 teams still alive in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

Lyon, winner of the last five Women's Champions League titles, has recently added Catarina Macario. Her former Stanford teammate, Alana Cook, plays for Paris St. Germain, the current Division 1 Arkema leader. Manchester City features Abby Dahlkemper, Rose Lavelle and Sam Mewis.

The draw for the round of 16 was held on Tuesday. European travel restrictions forced the draw to be modified. The seeded and unseeded teams were split into two groups and therefore only able to draw one of four teams. And within those groups, teams weren't allowed to draw teams from their own country.
