TV: U.S. Olympic qualifier against Mexico averages almost 1.5 million U.S. viewers

Wednesday's broadcast of the USA-Mexico match to decide first place in their Concacaf Men's Olympic Qualifying group averaged 1.2 million viewers on UniMas, making it the most-watched live event on the Spanish-language network since the Concacaf Nations League match between Mexico and Bermuda in November 2019.

The USA-Mexico match also averaged 287,000 on FS1. The first two U.S. Olympic qualifiers on FS1 averaged 128,000 viewers (USA vs. Costa Rica) and 202,000 viewers (USA vs. Dominican Republic).

Thursday's international men's friendly between the USA and Jamaica averaged 267,000 viewers on ESPN2. The USA's first international men's friendly in 2021 -- the 7-0 win over Trinidad & Tobago on Jan. 31 -- averaged 258,000 viewers.
