The Kansas City Wizards have placed midfielder Refik Sabanadzovic on waivers, opening a foreign allocation spot on the roster. Sabanadzovic, 33, appeared in six games this season for the Wizards
and 27 games overall since arriving in Kansas City on January 29, 1998. In his MLS career, he has tallied two assists, but only registered two shots on goal and received seven yellow cards and a red
card. Each MLS team is allowed four foreign players on its roster, down from five last season. Forward Mo Johnston, forward Digital Takawira and defender Uche Okafor are the only foreign players
on the Wizards current roster, which now stands at 22, including injured and Project-40 players. The two forwards, Angus Eve and Arnold Dwarika, who were non-roster invitees, have both returned to
their club team in Trinidad & Tobago.
