Spain set numerous European Championship records for possession and passing but could not score in its 0-0 tie with Sweden:

85%. Highest percentage of possession since records were first kept in 1980.
917. Most completed passes in a game.
419.  Most completed passes in a first half.
303. Most completed passes in the opposing half in a first half.
38. Fewest completed passes allowed in own half in a first half.

Patrik Schick scored the goal of the tournament so far with a spectacular goal from nearly 50 yards for his second goal to complete the Czech Republic's 2-0 win at Scotland, spoiling the Scots' return to a major championship after a 23-year absence.

In the 52nd minute, the 25-year-old Bayer Leverkusen forward picked up a loose ball in midfield, took one touch and looked up to see Scotland goalkeeper David Marshall off his line. Schick's left-footed shot lofted perfectly over Marshall, who crashed violently into the netting in his attempt to reach the ball.

Schick's work in coming back for the ball and his shooting touch made him one of the most sought-after players to come out of the Czech Republic in the last decade. But he has jumped around clubs in Italy and Germany -- four in the last five seasons -- and injuries have limited to 42 goals in five seasons with Sampdoria, Roma, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen.
