The tie with Ecuador ended Brazil's 10-game win streak, which included the victories over Venezuela (3-0), Peru (4-0) and Colombia (2-1) that earned the Seleção a first-place finish in Group B. Brazil rested Neymar on Sunday. It faces Group A's fourth-place finisher in the quarterfinals on July 2.

Orlando City goalkeeper Pedro Gallese, who made three saves, and NYCFC defender Alexander Callens started for Peru.

Red Bull midfielder Cristian Casseres Jr., D.C. United midfielder Junior Moreno, Atlanta United defender Ronald Hernandez, Philadelphia Union midfielder Jose Martinez and Toronto FC defender Yeferson Soteldo saw action for Venezuela.

Orlando City's Jhegson Mendez and LAFC's Diego Palacios started in Ecuador's midfield.
