Big weekend in men's national amateur league playoffs

USL League Two

A goal by Alex Horveno and an own goal gave the Des Moines Menace a 2-0 win over visiting Portland Timbers U23 in the League Two semifinals. The North Carolina Fusion U23s beat the Western Mass Pioneers, 3-1, in the other semifinal played in Statesboro, Georgia. Police had to be called on to the field in the 90th minute because of trouble that resulted in four Western Mass red cards.

NPSL

FC Baltimore Christos completed the field in the NPSL semifinals when it survived a shootout to beat FC Motown after their cliffhanger ended 3-3. Goals by Admir Suljevic and Corban McAvinew gave the Cleveland SC a 2-0 win over Minneapolis City SC for a repeat of its Midwest title. The Denton Diablos overcame a 2-0 halftime deficit, getting two goals and an assist from Trevor Amann in a 4-2 victory over FC Golden State. Rio Mello's goal in the dying seconds of overtime gave Tulsa Athletic its first regional title with a 2-1 win over Southern States SC.

Lucas Montelares' penalty kick broke a deadlock late in overtime to give the Florida Tropics a 3-1 win over Georgia's Kalonji Pro Profile in the Southeast Region final. Alain Murhula's two goals were the first for the Boise Cutthroats in their 2-1 win over Capital City SC in Texas in the Central Region final.

Paddy McCann and Shamir Mullings scored to give the Lansdowne Bhoys a 2-0 win over the New York Pancyprian Freedoms, their Metropolitan Conference rivals, in the Eastern Premier Soccer League's championship game. The final four was played at the Capelli Sports Complex Tinton Falls, New Jersey.
