What They're Saying: Hope Solo

"I don't think his job is in jeopardy, which is quite surprising, to be honest, because we've had coaches in the past where we'd had one major loss or one major tournament loss and they were gone the next day or the same bus ride home."

-- Former U.S. national team star Hope Solo on Vlatko Andonovski's job security following the USA's 1-0 loss to Canada in the Olympic women's soccer semifinals. The USA has won just one of five games at the Olympics after it entered the tournament with a 22-0-1 record under Andonovski. His two losses in 28 games match the total number of losses Tom Sermanni (record: 18-2-4) had when he was fired in 2014 and one more than Greg Ryan (45-1-9) had when he was fired after the 4-0 loss to Brazil in the 2007 Women's World Cup semifinals.  (All of US: The U.S. Women's Soccer Show via Goal.com)

Yes, this was the wrong roster... Where are the kids that are hungry?  (BTW, Lloyd is still hungry of the vets, I'd take her.)  Maybe Vlatko doesnt understand American Spirit..
