LSU completes road trip with three wins over ranked teams

LSU picked up its third win over a ranked team in the last two weeks -- all on the road -- when it traveled to Arizona State and beat the Sun Devils, 5-2.

The Tigers came back from a goal down after 37 seconds to score four goals in the game's first 32 minutes. Midfielder Rammie Noel evened the score in the 2nd minute before Alesia Garcia, Athena Kuehn and Lindsi Jennings scored for the Tigers. Garcia added a second goal from the penalty spot in the second half.

“To come back after allowing that early goal and score five unanswered, four of which came in the first half, is impressive," said LSU head coach Sian Hudson said. “I love the direction this group is moving. We know there is still lots of soccer left to play, but I’m happy with how far we’ve progressed this early in the season. Still things we can do better, but I’m so proud of what this group accomplished on this road trip.”

In the last two weeks, LSU beat South Florida (2-1), UCF (2-0), Arizona (2-0) and Arizona State all on the road. The Tigers tied a school record with their ninth straight win dating back to the spring of 2021.
