Cameron Carter-Vickers scored in his debut for Celtic, providing the opening goal in the Glasgow club's 3-0 win over Ross County before 60,000 fans at Parkhead.
The match was still 0-0 in the 63rd minute when Carter-Vickers' shot from 30 yards took a deflection and beat Ross County keeper Ross Laidlaw. The Ross County defense gave Carter-Vickers time to line up his shot and it hit the foot of a Ross County defender and looped over Laidlaw into the far corner.
The win was the third in five games for Celtic, which is in third place in the Scottish Premiership, one point behind Rangers and Hibernian.
Carter-Vickers, 23, is on a season-long load from Tottenham in a deal that includes a purchase option.
“I think it was on target," he said of the goal, "so I think I’ll get the goal, but sometimes in those kind of games, you need a bit of luck. If you keep going and keep pushing forward, luck comes and that’s what we needed.”
Carter-Vickers scored two goals in four seasons in the English Championship, where he played at six different clubs on loan from Spurs.
