UEFA Champions League: 32 Americans, from Adams to Zelalem

Steve Trittschuh was the first American to play in what is the UEFA Champions League, starting both games for Czechoslovakia's Sparta Prague in a pair of 2-0 losses to Spartak Moscow in the first round of the 1990-91 European Cup.

The list includes Jermaine Jones and Kenny Saief, who filed switches of association to represent the USA after their first appearances in the Champions League.
