College Men: Oregon State stuns unbeaten and untied Washington

A penalty kick by Mouhameth Thiam in the 87th minute gave Oregon State a 3-2 comeback win over No. 1 Washington, which entered the game with a 12-0-0 record.

The Huskies and Beavers entered the game 1-2 in the nation in the NCAA RPI for Division I men's teams.

Oregon State (9-1-2) moved into the top spot in the RPI rankings with the win while Washington (12-1-0) dropped to No. 3 behind Georgetown (13-1-0).

The Beavers played the final 27 minutes with a two-player advantage after Achille Robin was issued a red card the 44th minute and Christian Soto was sent off in the 63rd minute with UW leading, 2-1.

On Robin's red card, Oregon State was awarded a penalty kick, but Sofiane Djeffal hit it off the crossbar.

Freshman Joran Gerbet tied the score in the 73rd minute with his first collegiate goal. Thiam won the game when he slotted his penalty kick into the lower-left corner of the goal.
