Youth National Teams: U-17s down South Florida in Dallas Cup tuneup

Jordan Cila and Landon Donovan scored in a two-minute span to rally the U.S. U-17 national team to a 2-1 win over the University of South Florida in a March 24 friendly in Bradenton, Fla. USF star Kevin Alvero struck first in the 5th minute before Cila equalized in the 15th and Donovan hit the winner two minutes later. The U-17s will depart for Dallas, Texas on March 26 to participate in the Dallas Cup International Youth Tournament to be held March 28-April 4. The USA has been placed in Group D of the Super Group and will kick off the tournament on Mar. 28 against FC Augsburg (Germany). On the following day, Mar. 29 the U-17s will play UAG (Mexico) and will conclude first-round play on Mar. 31 against SC Corinthians from Brazil. March 24 in Bradenton, Fla. USA 2 South Florida 1.
