A pair of teenagers, Jonathan Gomez (photo) and Diego Luna, earned all-league honors, reflecting the new young talent emerging across the USL Championship. Also selected were 20-year-old Jose Gallegos and 21-year-old Jorge Hernandez.
2021 USL Championship All-League First Team
GK – Evan Louro, Tampa Bay (USA/25): Led the Championship with 14 shutouts – second-most in a regular season in league history.
D – Paco Craig, Miami FC (England/29): Earned a third All-League First Team selection.
D – Jonathan Gomez, Louisville City (USA/18): Recorded two goals, eight assists and 44 key passes.
D – Forrest Lasso, Tampa Bay (USA/28): Voted to the All-League First Team for a fifth consecutive season.
D – Sean Totsch, Louisville City (USA/30): One of only three players to play every minute of the regular season.
M – Danny Barrera, Hartford Athletic (USA/31): Led the league with 12 assists and ranked third with 82 key passes.
M – Jorge Hernandez, LA Galaxy II (USA/21), LA Galaxy II: Recorded 12 goals and six assists while leading the league with 91 chances created.
M – Aodhan Quinn, Phoenix (USA/29): Finished tied for second in the league with 11 assists and notched six goals.
F – Hadji Barry, Colorado Springs (Guinea/29): Equaled the Championship’s single-season scoring record with 25 goals.
F – Sebastian Guenzatti, Tampa Bay (Uruguay/30) Scored a career-best 21 goals in the regular season.
F – Santi Moar, Phoenix (Spain/28): Had a career-high 16 goals in his second season with Rising FC.
