The USL Championship will be featured on the eFootball (formerly PES) video game franchise in a multi-year partnership the USL reached with Konami.
The agreement is the first in the history of the USL Championship with any video game property. eFootball players will be able to play USL Championship clubs and players and use their uniforms and crests in 2022.
“We’re proud to join forces with the USL as part of our strategic effort to capitalize on the surge in popularity of soccer in the United States,” said Konami president Yuta Kose
in a statement. “USL has played a pivotal role in the growth of U.S. soccer over the past several decades, and we look forward to building our collective reach in North America while delivering a comprehensive USL experience to eFootball all over the world.”
