Update: Weston McKennie's injury less serious than first feared

Tests carried out on Weston McKennie’s injured right knee on Sunday ruled out “capsule ligament injuries" according to Juventus, which added that his condition will be monitored daily.
Background: On Saturday, McKennie left in the 64th minute of Juve's 1-0 home loss to Atalanta after he clashed with defender Berat Djimsiti. The defeat dropped Juventus, currently in a four-way tie for sixth place, 14 points behind leader Napoli and seven points below Serie A's top four.
What's next: Juventus plays at Salernitana and hosts Genoa before closing out the group stage of the UEFA Champions League next week against Malmo. It has already qualified for the round of 16. The USA's next World Cup 2022 qualifier is Jan. 27 against El Salvador.
